Owner + Stylist
Theo  has been in the beauty industry for almost two decades and has a true passion for education. When he’s not behind the chair, Theo travels to salons across the country, teaching advanced color techniques and color theory. Growing up in the small town of Gees Bend, Alabama, he learned to appreciate the people that surround him and cherishes quality time with his wife and two daughters after a busy day.

Marissa Nunn

Salon Manager
Marissa brings a creative spark and a warm welcome to everyone stepping into Sparrow. As a seasoned pro in guest relations, she knows how to make every visit special. When she's not lighting up our front desk, she's teaming up with her husband on their photography projects, capturing life’s beautiful moments.

Director of Education

Macy is a Birmingham-based stylist with a passion for creating natural, low-maintenance hair that feels authentic and elevated. Since 2022, she’s been helping clients embrace their best features with personalized styles and sustainable care routines. When she’s not in the salon, Macy loves spending time with her partner Zach, their two dogs Ollie and Frank, enjoying concerts, or relaxing by the lake.

Claire Hambrick

Stylist
Alabama-born and with a sprinkle of Atlanta charm, This extention specialist has been passionate about hair since her cosmetology days in high school. With a stint in the medical field and a diploma from Aveda Institute under her belt, she’s all about helping you achieve your hair dreams with a smile.

Emma Kinkead

Stylist
Southern California's own, Emma brings a funky, vintage flair to Sparrow. Specializing in lived-in color and avant-garde styles, she’s got a knack for making old-school cool. When she's not styling, she's likely thrifting, hitting up a concert, or chilling with her boyfriend and their two dogs.

Lis Barton

Stylist
Meet Lis, a Birmingham native with a love for all things creative. Since diving into the hair industry in 2019, she’s embraced creative and fun hairstyles that fit your life. Lis believes in making every salon visit a moment of self-care and is eager to help you express your true self through your hair.

Mary Fulton Green

Stylist
Mary is a devoted mom and our go-to expert in color education, renowned for her skill in balayage. Since graduating from the Aveda Institute Birmingham, she’s dedicated to delivering top-notch, personalized styles that not only look great but also keep your hair healthy. Outside the salon, Mary enjoys arts and crafts and cozy family movie nights.

Emma is a wizard with scissors and color, bringing over seven years of expertise in everything from vibrant reds to perfect perms. She’s a lifelong learner, constantly updating her skills to keep you ahead of the trends. Emma’s friendly and thoughtful approach ensures you'll walk out feeling fabulous.

Meet Kiya! She is dedicated to helping her guests achieve beautiful, healthy hair through personalized care and expert recommendations. No matter the texture, she takes pride in enhancing natural beauty while maintaining the integrity of every strand. Her everyday goal behind the chair is to deliver results that makes one feel confident, radiant, and effortlessly beautiful! In her free time, Kiya enjoys family time, and a good card game! 

KAYLA LAZzARI

Kayla is a Massachusetts native who fell in love with all things hair at an early age. It’s been her dream come true to pursue a career where she never stops learning, and is especially passionate about collaborating with her clients to bring their dream hair to life. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her thrifting clothes to upcycle, adding to her junk journal, or cooking a new recipe!

Jovanna’s passion for her career as a stylist centers around those who sit in her chair. She  not only creates looks that celebrate her client’s personalities, she also provides a safe and nurturing environment for them as well. Jovanna’s enthusiasm for her work is rooted in her artistic background. Her love for the creative is something she mirrors with every cut, style, and color.
